Azerbaijan's non-oil export increases by one-fourth
Azerbaijan's overall exports amounted to $18.5 billion from January to June 2022 compared to the same period of 2021.
At the same time, the total value of the country’s non-oil exports reached $1.5 billion, jumping by 25.4 per cent in annual terms, Report informs, citing the “Annual export review” compiled by the Baku-based Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
The export of fruits and vegetables increased by 7.1 per cent and amounted to $328.1 million. Over the corresponding period, the export of chemical products increased by 5 times, aluminium and products made of it - by 2 times, ferrous metals and products from them - by 26.1 per cent, cotton fibre - by 12.8 per cent, cotton yarn - by 5, 2 per cent.
As of June 2022, the overall exports amounted to $3.1 billion. In the non-oil sector, exports increased by 5.8 per cent and amounted to $269.6 million. In June 2022, food exports increased by 6.6 per cent reaching $119.6 million, and non-food products - by 5.1 per cent hitting $149.9 million.
