Azerbaijan’s oil-condensate output nears 7 million tons in first quarter of 2025 PHOTO
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has stated that oil production with condensate in the country approached 7 million tons in the first quarter of 2025.
“According to operational data for the first quarter of this year, oil-condensate production amounted to 6.9 million tons, while export volumes reached 5.7 million tons. During last month, 12.6 billion cubic meters of gas were produced, with 6 billion cubic meters exported,” the minister wrote on X, per Caliber.Az.
Notably, Azerbaijan produced approximately 29.1 million tons of oil and condensate in 2024.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 7.5 million tons of oil from fields it operates either independently or as a major shareholder.
In 2024, Azerbaijan produced about 45.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas.
SOCAR produced 7.7 bcm of natural gas from its operated fields.
Gas exports included 12.9 bcm to Europe, 9.9 bcm to Türkiye, and over 2.4 bcm to Georgia.
The Southern Gas Corridor, including the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), is pivotal for transporting gas to European markets.
