Azerbaijan's passenger rail transportation volume surpasses 7 million in 2023

Executive director of the Passenger Transportation Department of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (AYD) Azer Farajov has said that the volume of passenger transportation by rail in Azerbaijan in 2023 exceeded 7 million.

According to him, the similar figure for 2022 was 5.2 million, Report informs.

"The forecast for 2023 was about 6.8 million passengers. However, as a result of measures taken, 7.1 million passengers were transported during last year," Farajov specified.
