Azerbaijan's SOCAR advances energy partnerships with Chevron, SLB

President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovshan Najaf, has held separate meetings with senior representatives of Chevron and SLB on the sidelines of Baku Energy Week.

Najaf first met with Derek Magness, Managing Director of Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The sides expressed satisfaction with Chevron’s successful operations in Azerbaijan and underlined the importance of a document signed between the parties during the forum’s opening ceremony, which is seen as a step toward expanding cooperation.

They also discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in Azerbaijan and other countries, along with other issues of mutual interest.

Najaf later held another meeting with Steve Gassen, Executive Vice President of SLB.

The discussion highlighted that Baku Energy Week has become an important international platform for addressing global energy issues, strengthening cooperation, showcasing technological innovation, and exchanging experience.

The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation between SOCAR and SLB, including opportunities for joint projects, digitalisation, and the optimisation of production operations. Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
