Azerbaijan's tourism revenue set to exceed $1 billion in 2025
In Azerbaijan, the revenue from the tourism sector (excluding catering) is expected to reach $1.03 billion this year, according to a forecast by Statista.
The growth in the sector is projected to maintain an annual rate of 4.05% from 2025 to 2029, ultimately bringing the sector's volume to $1.2 billion by the end of the decade, Caliber.Az reports.
The most significant segment of Azerbaijan's tourism industry this year will be the hotel sector, with a market volume of $546.1 million.
It is anticipated that by 2029, 74% of total tourism revenue in the country will be generated through online sales.
This growth signals Azerbaijan's growing appeal as a travel destination and reflects the increasing shift towards digital platforms in the tourism industry.
