Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with OTS member states surpasses $7 billion
Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with member countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) exceeded $7 billion in 2025, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli said at the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of OTS Competition Authorities and the Competition Forum in Shusha.
Bashirli highlighted the growing economic integration among OTS member states, noting that increasing trade, expanding mutual investments, stronger transport and logistics connections, and enhanced regional economic cooperation demonstrate the progress achieved in recent years, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"Our country is consistently taking steps to expand economic cooperation and develop mutual trade within the OTS. A Preferential Trade Agreement is in effect between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. There are also free trade agreements with other OTS member countries," the deputy minister noted.
According to Bashirli, the total volume of mutual investments between Azerbaijan and OTS countries has approached $40 billion since 1995, underscoring the deepening economic ties across the Turkic world.
He also pointed to efforts aimed at further boosting investment cooperation, including the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund with a total capital of $600 million.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan, together with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, has established bilateral investment funds that are already operating successfully.
