Azerbaijan's trade with China surges in early 2025
Azerbaijan has seen a significant increase in its trade turnover with China in the first two months of 2025, with bilateral trade reaching $745.4 million, marking a 1.5-fold increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The volume of Azerbaijani exports to China surged by an impressive 5.3 times, amounting to $10.9 million for January and February 2025, Caliber.Az reports, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
The share of Azerbaijani exports to China in the total export structure rose to 0.23%, a notable increase from just 0.04% in the same period last year.
On the import side, Azerbaijan’s imports from China also saw a rise, with the total value of goods imported reaching $734.5 million, a 1.5-fold increase compared to the previous year. The share of imports from China in Azerbaijan’s total imports stood at 17.75%, slightly down from 19.67% in January-February 2024.
