Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia expand audit cooperation

The head of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, Vugar Gulmammadov, met with the President of the Supreme Audit Court of Saudi Arabia, Hussam Alangari, on the sidelines of the 15th General Assembly of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) in Jeddah. 

During the meeting, Alangari presented Gulmammadov with the final report of an expert assessment carried out on the Azerbaijani institution. He praised the achievements of the Accounting Chamber and noted that the expert review had once again confirmed the agency’s progress, Caliber.Az reports per the Chamber of Accounts.

Gulmammadov highlighted the strong cooperation between the two oversight bodies, both bilaterally and within international platforms. He described the recent expert assessment as an important stage in their partnership and expressed confidence that its conclusions would help further enhance the Chamber’s operations.

He also noted that the findings had been incorporated into Azerbaijan’s new Strategic Plan for 2026–2030.
