Azerbaijan sends more cash to Italy amid global remittance decline

Remittances from individuals in Azerbaijan to Italy surged to $7.754 million in 2025, marking a significant increase compared to the previous year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said.
The rise represents a 29.25% increase, or $1.755 million, compared with 2024. During the year, Italy’s share of total remittances from Azerbaijan grew from 1.1% to 1.5%, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Despite the growth in transfers to Italy, the overall volume of personal remittances sent from Azerbaijan to foreign countries declined slightly. By the end of 2025, total outflows amounted to $505.139 million, down 4.1% from the previous year.
