Azerbaijan sets up operational centres in Türkiye over earthquake issues
Azerbaijan’s embassy in Türkiye has set up operational headquarters in connection with the February 6 earthquake in Kahramanmaras and neighbouring provinces.
The embassy also established similar task forces in consulates general in Istanbul and Kars, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The embassy is in close touch with the Turkish Interior Ministry, the Emergency Management Agency (AFAD), other relevant governmental bodies of Türkiye, as well as with the head of the delegation of Azerbaijan’s Emergency Ministry, which arrived in Türkiye to assist and find out whether there are citizens of Azerbaijan among the earthquake victims. The embassy is also in contact with Azerbaijani students getting educated in Türkiye.
