Azerbaijan sets visa procedure for foreigners to work in Alat Free Economic Zone
Azerbaijan has determined visa requirements for foreigners willing to work in Alat Free Economic Zone.
Those who will work on the territory of the Alat Free Economic Zone upon the invitation from the authorised organisation, administrative institution and legal entity of the Alat Free Economic Zone, as well as the founders of these legal entities, will not need a work permit, APA reports.
The relevant amendment to the Migration Code was discussed at a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament Committee for Law Policy and State-Building and recommended to the plenary session of the parliament.
According to the draft, a work visa will be issued to foreigners or stateless people on the basis of an application from an authorised organisation, administrative institution or legal entity of the Alat Economic Zone for activity in the Alat Free Economic Zone.
A visa for a private visit will be issued to foreigners and stateless people arriving on the basis of an invitation letter from the founders, employees of legal entities of the Alat Economic Zone signed and sealed by a notary or stateless people who have a temporary residence permit in this zone.
