Azerbaijan showcases investment potential to US congressional delegation

Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency Yusif Abdullayev and a delegation led by Abraham Hamadeh, Member of the US House of Representatives, have discussed Azerbaijan’s investment potential and prospects for expanding bilateral business cooperation.

Abdullayev briefed the delegation on Azerbaijan’s business and investment climate, mechanisms designed to encourage foreign direct investment, and the agency’s key areas of activity. He also provided information about the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, which is scheduled to be held in September, and outlined opportunities for future cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on Azerbaijan’s growing transit potential and the possible participation of US companies in investment projects across the country.

The discussions also focused on technology and know-how transfer, the use of financial support instruments, and ways to strengthen business ties between Azerbaijan and the United States.
