Azerbaijan signs deal with World Economic Forum to boost global knowledge exchange PHOTO
Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Mirek Dusek have discussed the established productive cooperation during a videoconference meeting.
The meeting highlighted Azerbaijan as an actively participating country in various Forum initiatives. During the discussion, progress made by Azerbaijan in digital transformation, innovation, and technology was emphasized, the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The two sides exchanged views on the prospects and potential opportunities for further partnership.
As part of the meeting, an online ceremony was held between the Ministry of Economy and the World Economic Forum (WEF) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the Acceleration Platform. According to the agreement, the WEF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, will support initiatives aimed at integrating Azerbaijan into a global knowledge and exchange network that connects both public and private sector representatives.
The goal of this initiative is to create new opportunities in the fields of innovation and skills development, as well as to foster the growth of a modern skills ecosystem. The sides noted that the Acceleration Platform will provide solutions for developing human capital in line with the rapidly changing economy, while promoting public-private cooperation.
