Azerbaijan simplifies car registration procedures
Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has decided to eliminate state duties for the state registration of contracts for the alienation (state registration) of motor vehicles by individuals.
"The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to liquidate its decision of July 31, 2018 on the amount of state duties for the state registration of contracts for the alienation of motor vehicles by individuals," Interfax-Azerbaijan reports, quoting a source in the Azerbaijani government.
The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov on May 23.
As reported, the state duty for the state registration of a contract for a motor vehicle with a capacity of up to 2,000 cubic cm was set at 0.05 manats for each cubic cm; with a capacity of up to 3,000 cubic cm - 100 manats + 0.1 manats for each cubic cm. engine power parts from 2,001 to 3,000 cubic cm.
The state duty for the state registration of a contract for a motor vehicle with a capacity of up to 4,000 cubic meters was 200 manats + 0.2 manats for each cubic meter. engine power of the part from 3,001 to 4,000 cubic meters. cm; with a capacity of up to 5,000 cubic meters. cm - 400 manats + 0.3 manats for each cubic meter. engine power of the part from 4,001 to 5,000 cubic meters. cm. cubic cm.
At the state registration of the contract for a motor vehicle with a motor capacity of more than 5,000 cubic meters, the state duty was charged in the amount of 1,500 manats.
In addition, coefficients were applied to these state duties depending on the year of production of the car. In particular, during the state registration of contracts for vehicles with a production period of up to 4 years, the coefficient was 1, for vehicles with a production period of 4 to 10 years - 0.8, over 10 years - 0.3.
State duties were in effect from August 1, 2018 and applied to vehicles with a maximum of nine seats. The Interior Ministry is engaged in the state registration of such contracts.
