Azerbaijan, Slovakia sign memorandum on standardisation cooperation PHOTO

The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan and Slovakia’s Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement covers cooperation in standardisation, legal and scientific metrology, technical regulation, conformity assessment, and the accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, Caliber.Az reports.

The memorandum aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two sides in the area of quality infrastructure, expand the exchange of international experience and information, and identify avenues for future joint activities.

The document was signed by State Agency Chairman Elnur Baghirov and Slovakia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Elchin Gasimov.

Under the memorandum, the parties will exchange information in the fields of technical regulation, standardisation, and metrology. The agreement also provides for the organisation of joint seminars, conferences, scientific and technical projects, and training programs aimed at enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of specialists.
