Azerbaijan, South Korea explore strategic financial sector cooperation

The Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, has met with Lee Chan-jin, head of South Korea’s Financial Supervisory Service, during a working visit to Seoul.

According to a statement from the CBA, the officials discussed the current state of the financial sectors in both countries, ongoing reforms, and measures to further develop the industry, Caliber.Az reports.

The meeting also involved an exchange of information on the use of technological solutions and advanced supervisory methodologies across banking, capital markets, and insurance sectors.

Kazimov and Lee shared views on the prospects for closer cooperation and potential joint initiatives between the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and South Korea’s financial regulator.
