Azerbaijan spends over $3 billion for defence and national security in 2025

Azerbaijan allocated over 5.21 billion manats ($3.05 billion) from the state budget for defence and national security during the first nine months of 2025, the Ministry of Finance has revealed.

The amount spent represents an increase of 15.6 per cent or 702 million manat compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports.

During the reported period, 62.1% of the total funds earmarked for defence and national security in the 2025 state budget — amounting to 8.4 billion manats ($4.94 billion) — have already been utilised.
