Azerbaijan starts production of diesel fuel
Azerbaijan will start producing motor gasoline to Euro-5 standards in the first quarter of 2024 within the renovation and modernization project being implemented at the Heydar Aliyev Refinery.
The production of diesel fuel started in the second quarter of 2023, APA reports with reference to the data presented by SOCAR at the stand at the Caspian Oil&Gas exhibition.
It was noted that the refinery produces 30 types of products, 10 per cent of which are exported.
According to the information, the refinery started its work in 1953 and until now, the company has spent 364 million tons of oil processed.
The Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev fully meets the republic's needs for oil products. The refinery is currently under reconstruction and modernization.
