Azerbaijan steps into spotlight at Tel Aviv tourism summit photo
The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau’s Israel office and the representative office of Azerbaijan’s leading carrier, AZAL, participated in the New Map tourism summit held in Tel Aviv.
As reported by Caliber.Az, citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, the summit served as a platform to promote the country’s tourism capabilities.
The conference held within the framework of the event gathered more than 350 tourism industry professionals. Speaking at the conference, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Israel, Mukhtar Mammadov, stressed the significant opportunities for expanding cooperation and strengthening tourism links between Azerbaijan and Israel.
As part of the summit, Azerbaijan’s national cuisine was showcased to attendees at the tourism festival, offering participants an insight into the country’s culinary traditions.
The programme also included a series of B2B meetings between Azerbaijani representatives and members of Israel’s tourism sector.
According to the State Tourism Agency, the number of visitors from Israel to Azerbaijan in the first eleven months of 2025 more than doubled compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching 59,917.
