Azerbaijan supplies 16 bcm of gas to EU in less than two years
Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has said that Azerbaijan had supplied 16 billion cubic metres of gas to Europe since the end of 2020.
He made the remarks at an international gas conference in Romania on September 22, according to Trend.
“This morning we had a very useful discussion with the prime minister of Romania. It is important not only to think about the upcoming winter but simultaneously to be sure what will happen in five or ten years,” Shahbazov said.
According to him, Azerbaijan has been a reliable energy supplier to the European market for many years.
“So, we are supplying oil and petroleum products to Europe. We have recently started to supply the EU with natural gas as well. We also have big plans for the future," he said.
