Azerbaijan to allocate over $9 million to open new embassies
Azerbaijani Deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov has said that 15.9 million manats ($9.3 million) are planned to be allocated for the opening and maintenance of Azerbaijani embassies in Israel, Albania and Kenya, as well as the diplomatic mission in Palestine.
Bayramov made the remarks at a meeting of the Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee of the Azerbaijani parliament on November 22, Report informs.
He noted that the expenses for the maintenance of the parliament are planned to be increased by 4.1 million manats ($2.4 million).
Thus, in total, additional expenses in the amount of 20 million manats ($11.8 million) are expected due to the reduction of subsidies to Nakhchivan.
This issue has already been agreed upon with the leadership of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Bayramov said.
