Azerbaijan to co-chair UN housing working group until 2029

Azerbaijan, alongside Somalia, is co-chairing the Open-Ended Intergovernmental Expert Working Group on Adequate Housing for All (OEWG-H), which is expected to prepare international recommendations through 2029, UN-Habitat Executive Director Anaclaudia Rossbach said.

Speaking at a press conference held for the opening of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), she underlined that the OEWG-H continues to assist UN Member States in addressing housing policy matters, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

"Azerbaijan co-chairs this group, along with Somalia. The OEWG-H will work until 2029 and is expected to develop a series of normative recommendations based on current trends, consensus, and existing agreements," Rossbach emphasised.
