Azerbaijan to get 10 GPS stations from Türkiye
Türkiye will provide Azerbaijan with 10 GPS stations.
Report was informed at the Republican Seismological Service Center under the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan that the Director General of the Center Gurban Yetirmishli secured the relevant agreement during his visit to Türkiye.
He held a number of working meetings at the Kandilli Observatory, the Earthquake Department of the Emergency and Disasters Agency (AFAD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Türkiye, as well as the Regional Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring Center and the Bosphorus University.
At the meetings, issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of seismology, the installation of a seismic station in Shusha with the support of AFAD, the joint participation of seismologists of the two fraternal countries in international megaprojects, the mutual exchange of data from seismic stations, etc. were discussed.
