Azerbaijan to host Islamic Development Bank group’s annual meeting in 2026 PHOTO

Azerbaijan will host the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group in 2026, the country’s Ministry of Economy announced on October 20.

The decision was discussed during a meeting between Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and representatives of IsDB member countries, held as part of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in the United States, Caliber.Az reports.

The talks focused on preparations for the upcoming event in Baku, which will bring together high-level officials and financial leaders from across the Islamic world to discuss development priorities.

Minister Jabbarov also held discussions with the IsDB Group President, Mohammed Sulaiman Al Jasser, and representatives of member states on promoting sustainable and inclusive development.

The meeting additionally explored ways to strengthen cooperation with Islamic financial institutions to advance shared development goals.
