Azerbaijan to showcase agrarian innovations at COP29 in Baku
Azerbaijan is set to highlight its advancements in the agrarian-industrial sector at the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, scheduled to be held in Baku this November.
Muhammad Nasar Hayat, representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Azerbaijan, announced this during the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition Caspian Agro and 29th Azerbaijan International Food Industry InterFood Azerbaijan Exhibition, Report informs.
Hayat emphasized the significance of the ongoing exhibition for the development of Azerbaijan's agricultural sector. "The exhibition integrates various fields, including livestock, poultry, and horticulture, and highlights the critical role of digitalization in agriculture," he stated.
The FAO representative noted that the organization is a key partner of the Azerbaijani government and is committed to supporting efforts to diversify the country's economy. He hailed the collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing the agrarian sector's productivity and sustainability.
