Azerbaijan to tighten control over compliance of imported goods with safety requirements
The State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan is preparing a list of goods imported into the country to check their compliance with safety requirements.
Representative of the State Agency Nazrin Mirzazada informed journalists about it, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
According to her, after the list is approved, the process of compliance verification will begin: "It does not matter where the goods are produced, in Europe, Asia or other countries. We will not recognise a certificate of conformity provided by an importer without an international agreement on mutual recognition."
Mirzazada added that compliance of goods with the country's technical regulations will also be taken into account.
Azerbaijan will compile a list of imported goods to check their compliance with safety requirements.
