Azerbaijan to transit aluminum to Armenia for first time
A new transit shipment of goods is set to pass from Russia through Azerbaijan to Armenia on May 7, marking a continued flow of cargo along the route amid evolving regional logistics dynamics.
According to Azerbaijan Railways, the latest shipment will include two railcars of aluminum and nine railcars of grain. The company noted that this will be the first time aluminum is transported to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The development follows another transit operation carried out earlier on May 6, when goods originating from Russia were delivered to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. That shipment consisted of eight railcars of fertiliser weighing 543 tons and ten railcars of grain totaling 695 tons.
