Azerbaijan tows “Neptun” rig to Caspian joint field with Turkmenistan PHOTO

Azerbaijan has begun towing the Neptun drilling rig to the central Caspian Sea, marking a notable example of cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The operation is being carried out with the involvement of vessels from ASCO, part of AZCON Holding, Caliber.Az reports the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Closed Joint-Stock Company.

According to Mehman Mehdiev, head of the press service of the Company, the vessels Andoga, Shuvalan, and Zirya are participating in the tow.

The rig is destined for the joint Azerbaijani–Turkmen gas field Umid, highlighting ongoing collaboration between the two nations in the energy sector.
