Azerbaijan, Turkish tech park join forces to promote green transition
Azerbaijan's Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) and Türkiye’s Bilişim Vadisi tech park plan to collaborate on initiatives supporting the “green” transition.
Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Erkam Tüzgen noted that KOBİA and Bilişim Vadisi signed a cooperation agreement yesterday, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Tüzgen emphasised that Bilişim Vadisi is Türkiye’s largest technology park and also highlighted how SMEs and startups, despite their significant contribution to the global economy, often operate primarily at a local level.“The Baku Declaration draws attention to this issue. We must create platforms to promote them globally.”
As a reminder, yesterday, October 7, KOBIA, which operates under the Ministry of Economy, and Türkiye’s Bilişim Vadisi signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Baku as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan Halal Business Forum (AZHAB).
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, Bilişim Vadisi expressed its support for the Joint Declaration on the Baku Climate Coalition.
The document provides for awareness-raising events and joint initiatives in areas such as “green economy,” “green technologies,” and “green entrepreneurship,” as well as cooperation on environmental protection.
