Azerbaijan, Türkiye can deepen energy cooperation

Azerbaijan and Türkiye have considered the possibility of deepening the export and transit of electricity.

The remarks came from Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Report informs.

Shahbazov said that this issue was discussed on September 28 at a meeting with Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez as part of the second Meeting of Energy Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

“We assessed the possibility of deepening the Azerbaijan-Türkiye strategic energy partnership of regional and international importance through the development of the Southern Gas Corridor, as well as the export and transit of electricity,” the minister said.
