Azerbaijan, Türkiye discuss economic, energy cooperation

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar discussed current and prospective cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the economic and energy sectors.

According to AZERTAG, at the meeting, Jabbarov congratulated Alparslan Bayraktar on his appointment as Energy and Natural Resources Minister and wished him success in his future activity.

It was emphasised that the relations of a strategic alliance between the two countries are successfully developing in all directions, including in the field of energy, and that the jointly implemented projects contribute significantly to the sustainable economic development of both countries, energy security of the region and Europe.

In this context, the parties noted with satisfaction the multifaceted activities of SOCAR in Türkiye

Views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
