Azerbaijan, Türkiye sign several documents
Azerbaijan and Türkiye have signed a number of documents on he sidelines of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Investment Forum held in Baku.
As prt of the forum an Action Plan was signed between Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Türkiye - Azerbaijan Businessmen's and Industrialists' Association (TÜİB), providing for an increase in trade and investment between the two countries, Report informs.
In addition, DO-DEM and Multipak Ambalaj signed a contract within the framework of which a paper packaging factory will be constructed in Azerbaijan.
A document signed between Azerbaijani company Diplomat LTD and Turkish company Dogru Holding envisages construction of a hotel in Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, addressing the forum, Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat noted that Türkiye is interested in the development of the economy of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Minister noted that opening of the Zangazur corridor will provide land communication between Türkiye and the entire territory of Azerbaijan through Nakhchivan.
Bolat hailed the importance of the Autonomous Republic for Türkiye. "Ankara is interested in the development of Nakhchivan's economy," he underlined.
The Turkish Minister also described Azerbaijan as an important country in the Middle Corridor.
"I would like cargo transportation from Istanbul to Baku to become more convenient and competitive. Türkiye is ready to provide all possible support in the realization of this idea," he said.
The Azerbaijani-Turkish Investment Forum on the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the founding of the Republic of Türkiye got underway in Baku on December 21.
