US development finance chief visits Baku to boost investment cooperation PHOTO
The Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Ben Black, has visited Baku to discuss investment opportunities aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between the United States and Azerbaijan.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan said the visit focused on advancing ties under the Strategic Partnership Charter between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports.
During his trip, Black held meetings with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, and Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev, as well as representatives of the private sector.
According to the embassy, discussions centered on identifying investment opportunities and expanding cooperation in key sectors of mutual interest.
“CEO Black’s visit comes on the heels of the first-ever U.S.-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue on June 2 as we continue to implement the Charter of Strategic Partnership signed in February,” the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan wrote on Facebook.
