Baku, Ankara step up cooperation ahead of WUF13

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Rashad Ismayilov, has discussed preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) with Türkiye’s Ambassador Birol Akgün.

The meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in environmental protection, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

The sides also exchanged views on preparations for WUF13, as well as for World Environment Day.

WUF13 will take place in Baku from May 17–22. The forum is organised in close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and aims to facilitate international exchange of experience in sustainable urban development, smart cities, and innovative urban solutions.
