Azerbaijan, Türkiye to strengthen information, experience exchange in customs
Azerbaijan and Türkiye are considering to strengthen the exchange of information, as well as experience in customs.
The relevant discussion took place between First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, Acting Chairman Shahin Baghirov and representatives of the Trade Council of the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan Ahmet Erdal, Yakup Sefer and Murat Yaman on November 28, the committee told Report.
The sides stressed that it is important to intensively exchange information and experience between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in customs and to increase trade turnover, the report added.
Some technical issues related to the implementation of the “Agreement between the governments of the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States on the establishment of a simplified customs corridor”, “Agreement on the exchange of preliminary information to facilitate transit customs procedures within the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project” were also discussed at the meeting.
Other issues of mutual interest were also addressed at the meeting.
