Azerbaijan, UAE explore digital upgrades in customs cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates have discussed plans to introduce online surveillance systems and other digital innovations in customs administration, as both countries look to modernise border control operations.
The discussions took place during an online meeting between officials from the customs authorities of both countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
The two sides reviewed potential areas of cooperation, including the deployment of digital monitoring tools and the strengthening of coordination between their respective canine units.
Officials also presented technical briefings and exchanged views on operational practices related to detection dogs, as part of broader efforts to enhance customs efficiency and border security cooperation.
