Azerbaijan, UAE eye expansion of bilateral trade, investment scope
Azerbaijan hosted a delegation from the United Arab Emirates for talks aimed at identifying new avenues to boost mutual investments and deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov provided details on the meeting via a statement on X, Caliber.Az reports.
He noted that the discussions in Baku involved the UAE delegation led by Mohammed Ali Al-Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport of Abu Dhabi. Both sides expressed satisfaction that Azerbaijan-UAE relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership.
"During the meeting, we expressed satisfaction with the elevation of Azerbaijan–UAE relations to the level of strategic partnership. We also highlighted prospects for joint projects, the expansion of cooperation in transport, infrastructure, green energy, digitalization, trade, and business, as well as opportunities to increase mutual investments," the minister wrote.
