Azerbaijan, UAE move forward on wind, solar energy projects

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are working to define new wind and solar energy projects, UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammed Al Blooshi said on December 8.

Al Blooshi highlighted that the energy sector, particularly renewable energy, remains one of the most active areas of cooperation between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

“In this context, the UAE's Masdar company acts as a leading partner implementing major projects in Azerbaijan.”

He added that UAE’s Masdar company is among the largest in the renewable energy sector.

“Currently, several large projects have been implemented by Masdar, and relevant contracts have been concluded. Some of the projects have already been submitted,” the ambassador said.
