Azerbaijan, UK collaborate on green energy transition
Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom have engaged in detailed discussions to enhance cooperation in the renewable energy sector, focusing on green hydrogen production, energy efficiency, and the strengthening of electricity networks.
These discussions took place during a round table titled "Transition to Green Energy in Azerbaijan," jointly organized with the UK's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the Ministry of Energy said, Caliber.Az reports.
The round table featured comprehensive presentations on the current state of renewable energy, decarbonisation efforts, and energy efficiency initiatives in Azerbaijan. Key projects under implementation were also highlighted, showcasing Azerbaijan's commitment to a sustainable energy future.
The event brought together representatives from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy, the State Renewable Energy Agency, the Energy Regulatory Agency, Azerenergy, Azerishig, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and bp.
