Azerbaijan–UK trade falls sharply in early 2026, customs data shows
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom totaled $60.122 million in January–March 2026, according to the State Customs Committee.
The figure represents an 81.4% decline compared with the same period last year, indicating a significant contraction in bilateral trade activity, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Azerbaijan’s exports to the United Kingdom fell sharply by 98.5% year-on-year to $1.099 million, while imports from the UK decreased by 76.2% to $59.022 million.
Despite the decline, trade with the UK accounted for 0.6% of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover during the reporting period. Exports to the UK represented just 0.02% of overall exports, while imports from the UK made up 1.4% of total imports.
