Azerbaijan, US discuss AI, cybersecurity, tech cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, held a meeting with Ethan Klein, Director of Science and Technology Policy at the White House, during his official visit to the United States.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and workforce training aligned with international standards, Nabiyev wrote on Facebook, Caliber.Az reports. 

Nabiyev said the two sides also explored opportunities for joint initiatives in energy and cybersecurity, and exchanged views on fostering closer partnerships between US companies and Azerbaijan, outlining the steps needed to advance collaboration.

Both parties underscored the importance of expanding the regulatory framework governing relations between the two countries, particularly in areas related to information and communication technologies (ICT) and AI governance.
