Azerbaijan, US discuss cooperation in Caspian region, minister says
Azerbaijan and the United States have discussed new opportunities for cooperation in the Caspian region, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has stated.
In a post on X, he said the talks took place during a meeting with a delegation led by Caleb Orr, US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, Caliber.Az reports.

The minister noted that the discussions focused on priority areas of strategic energy partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States, which he said has entered a new phase.
According to him, “they exchanged views on regional energy security”, the advancement of the oil and gas sector, “the expansion of energy interconnections and new cooperation opportunities in the Caspian region,” Shahbazov wrote.
