Azerbaijan, US EXIM Bank explore prospects for enhanced economic cooperation
Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Dan Negrea, Senior Advisor to th President and Chair of the Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank), to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral economic collaboration.
According to a statement posted by Minister Jabbarov on his official social media account X, the discussions focused on identifying opportunities to deepen cooperation and support mutual economic growth, Caliber.Az reports.

“Within the framework of the working visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev to the United States, together with President of SOCAR Rovshan Najaf, we met with a delegation led by Dan Negrea, Senior Advisor to the President and Chair of the Export–Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank).
We emphasized Azerbaijan’s progress in sustainable development and economic diversification, noting new prospects for developing high-value-added sectors and for strengthening partnerships with international counterparts.
We also exchanged views on leveraging EXIM Bank instruments to expand Azerbaijan - U.S. trade and investments and discussed next steps to deepen cooperation,” the post by Jabbarov reads.
