Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan launch first joint grant programme for NGOs

According to Azerbaijan's Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organisations, the application process officially opened on July 1, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Under the initiative, applications from Azerbaijani NGOs will be accepted by Azerbaijan's State Support Agency for NGOs, while applications from Uzbek organisations will be handled by Uzbekistan's Public Fund for the Support of Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis.
The programme requires participating Azerbaijani NGOs to implement their approved projects in Uzbekistan, while Uzbek NGOs will carry out their projects in Azerbaijan, promoting cross-border cooperation and the exchange of experience.
The deadline for submitting applications is July 30.
After the application period closes, the submitted project proposals and supporting documents will undergo an evaluation and review process before grant recipients are selected.
