Azerbaijan, Vietnam explore bilateral tourism cooperation in Hanoi PHOTO

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board has held a series of high-level meetings in Hanoi aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation with Vietnam in the tourism sector.

As part of a working visit to the Vietnamese capital, Azerbaijani representatives engaged with key stakeholders from Vietnam’s tourism industry, including government officials and airline executives. The visit featured a dedicated event showcasing Azerbaijan’s tourism potential, highlighting its cultural heritage, natural attractions, and growing infrastructure for international visitors, Caliber.Az reports per the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.

During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on enhancing mutual tourism flows, sharing best practices, and developing joint initiatives to promote sustainable tourism. Special emphasis was placed on experience exchange in tourism marketing, digital tourism development, and human capital training within the sector.

Particular attention was given to Azerbaijan’s vision of positioning itself as a regional tourism hub, and Vietnam’s growing interest in diversifying its international tourism partnerships.

The Azerbaijani delegation also held separate discussions with senior officials from the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and representatives of VietJet Air, one of the country’s leading low-cost carriers. The talks explored potential avenues for collaboration, including the establishment of direct air links between the two nations to facilitate greater tourist mobility and support economic and cultural ties.
