Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss energy network modernisation
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with senior World Bank officials to discuss ongoing and future cooperation in the country’s energy sector.
According to Shahbazov’s statement on X, the meetings included Charles Cormier, Infrastructure Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, and Rolande Pryce, Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Caliber.Az reports.

The discussions focused on the modernisation of Azerbaijan’s energy networks, regional electricity and gas export projects, and initiatives to improve energy efficiency.
Shahbazov highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with the World Bank to support sustainable energy development and regional integration.
