Azerbaijan, World Bank explore cooperation prospects

On June 4, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Samad Bashirli, convened a meeting with Antonio Nucifora, Manager of the World Bank's macroeconomics, trade, and investment practice in Europe and Central Asia.

Azerbaijani Economy Ministry told Caliber.Az that the meeting emphasized the mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank in enhancing the investment climate, promoting public-private partnerships, fostering innovation, and advancing management technologies, all of which contribute to Azerbaijan's developmental objectives.

The discussions encompassed plans for collaboration in trade diversification, "green transition," climate initiatives, COP29, and other pertinent matters.
