Azerbaijan, World Bank explore green economy transition initiatives
Azerbaijan and the World Bank have held discussions focusing on initiatives to advance the transition to a green economy.
The meeting, which involved Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Sameh Wahba, Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia region addressed several key topics related to the ongoing collaboration, Caliber.Az reports.
Jabbarov shared details of the discussions on social media platform X.
“Together with Sameh Naguib Wahba, the Regional Director for Sustainable Development in
Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank, and our colleagues, we explored several key issues on the Azerbaijan – WB cooperation agenda, including:
– Joint initiatives for transitioning to a green economy;
– The Country Partnership Framework;
– Partnership opportunities within COP29
