Azerbaijan, World Bank explore urban development projects at WUF13
Azerbaijan and the World Bank held discussions on bilateral cooperation in urban development projects on the sidelines of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov shared details of the meeting on his official X account, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“On the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), at a meeting with the World Bank’s Vice President for Infrastructure, Ms. Valerie Levkov, we underlined with satisfaction the results of effective cooperation between our country and the World Bank,” Jabbarov noted.
During the meeting, the sides discussed support for the development of sustainable infrastructure in Azerbaijan and the wider region, the use of the World Bank’s financial instruments to stimulate private sector financing, and potential cooperation in urban development projects.
