Azerbaijani, Bulgarian tax officials exchange expertise during visit to Sofia

Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are set to expand their bilateral cooperation in the sphere of taxation as Azerbaijani officials are on a working visit in Sofia. 

This was reported by Caliber.Az, citing the State Tax Service (STS) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani group consists of staff from various taxation bodies who held several meetings with senior officials from Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency. The STS delegation delivered presentations offering an overlook of their operations and national experiences. In the course of the meeting, the sides touched upon topics such as judicial and pre-judicial dispute resolution, handling administrative complaints, taxpayer services, desk tax audits, and others. 

As part of their visit, the Azerbaijani tax representatives visited the Iztok Service Center of Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency to learn more about the scope of its operations.

The visit is part of the activities of a newly established working group between the tax authorities of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
